Produced by the Gurung people in the Annupura region of the Himalayas, who have historically woven fabrics for their lifestyles as herdsmen and also as the famously courageous Ghurka soldiers, who support their communities through their actions helping fight with British armed forces amongst others. These bags come from a social enterprise who support the training of disadvantaged women in textiles handicrafts and business development in Pokhara.
