Beautifully designed from coloured metal and decorated with golden patterns and sanskrit messages these bowls are used in prayers by hitting the wooden carved pestle around the rim of the bowl to create a soothing chime. Produced by handiwork of artisan crafts men using a lost wax method, whose skills have been learned and passed on to him by generations before. These singing bowls are used to meditate by feeling the vibrations and sounds they make when hit, and are said to emote feelings of release, relaxation, order or stimulation by use.
