Designer — Nanny Still (1926-2009)
Produced during the 'golden age' of Finnish design, the Stella Polaris decanter with cork stopper is a rare find. A pressed and blown piece, in clear glass it features a bubbly surface decoration pattern. A Riihimaki Glass piece produced between 1968-73 in Finland.

Nanny Still was one of Finland's most versatile designers, working in an informal contemporary style in a variety of materials, glass, metal and ceramics in the mid 20th century. Designing for the Finnish creative powerhouses of iittala and Riihimaki, where she worked with both blown 'art' glass and moulded productions, she produced award and honour winning work earning a reputation as a innovator using colour.
